God`s special child...11-year-old girl who is only 58cm tall leaves doctors baffled (photos, video)

An Indian girl, who suffers from a mysterious condition which has rendered her to stay the same height as when she was a toddler, is revered by the people from her village.

She is considered “God's special child” in her birthplace Assam, in India, in the northeast region of the country. Parisikha Das, who is now 11 years old, is 23 inches tall and weighs 22 pounds, yet she has become so famous that people from many places around India come to meet her. She only has the same size as a six-month toddler, and she can neither speak nor walk.

“People sit with her and play for hours,” her mother, Rekha Das, said, claiming that her daughter has been diagnosed to suffer from thyroid “but in the lack of money we could not take her to big hospitals. She has not grown in nine years. She does not even have a complete set of teeth. This worries me. I love my child but I am worried about her future.” 

She said that it was only when Parisikha turned two, that she and her husband Ajit Das realized something was wrong. Before that, she did not receive any injection or medicine during her pregnancy, and had a normal delivery. Rekha Ajit do not lose hope of helping Parisikha, by providing medical help for her, so that she can eventually manage to live a normal life.
