This video captures the moment a snake catcher captures an extremely deadly king cobra with nothing but his bare hands.
Villagers called the snake catcher when they spotted the gigantic serpent just outside their village in the province of Saraburi in Thailand.
The snake catcher uses a long metal hook to subdue the cobra. The snake wrangler grabs the cobra by the end of its tail and keeps its head pushed down with his other hand.
He gradually manages to take the whole snake into his hands and stuffs it into a big white bag.
The snake catcher’s colleague can be heard shouting: “Go to the head end. Don't worry, these snakes are not as fast as smaller species.”
The king cobra is one of the most venomous snakes on the planet. A single bite from the king cobra is enough to fell an elephant!
The king cobra usually tries to avoid people but will attack as soon as it feels threatened.
The snake can grow up to 6 meters long and are found all across India, Southern China and Southeast Asia.
