Monster sea creature washed up on the beach leaving everyone baffled (photos)

Beach goers in Perth, West Australia, were absolutely shocked when the body of a mysterious marine creature washed ashore.

Immediately images of the strange creature’s body began appearing on the internet and people began questioning what the creature’s origins could be.


Many people noticed that the creature’s body had been decomposing for some time and chunks of flesh were evidently missing, signs indicating that they had been probably bitten off.

“That is spectacular,” one commenter wrote.

Another person commented saying: “Kind of looks like a bloated decomposing ray.”

The general consensus is that the body belonged to an eagle ray, a family of sting ray known for their long tails and rhomboidal bodies. The creatures possess tremendous strength and can easily jump out of the water.

Most users agreed that the mystery creature was heavily decomposed eagle rays with its wings cut off to make scallops.
